Pnina Tel Dan receives the Outstanding Employee Award from the late Mr. Zvi Yanai, Director General of the Ministry of Science and Technology
My name is Pnina Tel Dan. I previously coordinated international scientific relations between Israel and various countries and served as the Administrative Director of the Chief Scientists Forum across government ministries, on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology. I retired from public service in 2010.
I hold a Master’s degree (with honors) in Public Policy from Tel Aviv University, a Bachelor’s degree (with honors) in Hebrew Literature and Philosophy and a Teaching Certificate from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a Master of Library Science degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Among my activities in writing and publishing management, I manage and write for the ‘Pninim’ blog and host the podcast ‘Opening Everything with Pnina Tel-Dan’, featuring various articles, creative works, and podcasts covering literature, culture, current affairs, and politics.
I am married to Reuben – a physics teacher, and am mother to Shahar – a talented animator who graduated from Bezalel, and Shira – a senior pediatrician and biomedical engineer. I am also a grandmother to four grandchildren. My hope is that we will leave them a better world.
